Tell a Story - Make a Point

When you make a speech do you tell a story? Think back to when you were just 5 years old, what did you beg for several times before going to sleep? Right, a story. There is a reason we read to children, and that children hear the story and can remember it. A story explains a point in a way which we can relate. Take Goldilocks and the Three Bears, we can all recite this story, and we can all remember the message: don't walk into strangers homes. Tell a Story - Make a Point, hit home for me when I first heard it through the World Class Speakers Training. Now, once you have your story and point, learn to work it. Get intimate with the characters, set the stage and practice delivery. A story will not be remembered and more importantly the message will be forgotten if the story is told poorly. Dynamic delivery, means practice and perfect before sharing it.
Keep telling stories, tie your story to a point and then practice and perfect it. Your message will be remembered, ALWAYS.
